"The Hopi Indians claim to be the creators of the 'Hano Clown,' but it is a well known fact that the northern Pueblo Indians and other tribes use the Hano clown to entertain during celebrations and dances.
Traditionally, Hano clowns are the ones who set the stage before a ceremonial dance. The clown is typically painted white with black stripes and symbolizes the happy-sad or good-evil situations in life. The Hano clown is the master of body language.
In his bronze sculpture of a Hano Drummer, Marco shows the serious side of the Hanos, in a meditative look, the Hano is drumming for peace."
