"Blue Corn depicts a young Cherokee woman who lovingly plants and cares for blue corn. Legend tells of the time when her people are faced with a harsh winter, and the blue corn she has harvested and loyally stored saves them and she becomes a heroine. I have chosen a "Mother Earth" patina, Earth to Sky, to finish this bronze sculpture."
