The fabricated bronze nativity is an abstract southwestern design by Marco made from fabricated bronze that is bronze plate formed using a plenishing hammer. Each of the 15 pieces is cut out then formed individually, and finally a patina is applied. Details like halos and shepherds canes are formed from bronze rods, and then welded onto the piece. Gemstones which symbolize the gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh are attached to the three kings that are depicted like southwestern Native American shamans.
