"This piece is in homage to the abstract sculptors and also portrays my professional view of mammals. The original idea was to represent what mitochondrial DNA does passing from mother to offspring allowing us to study origin of bloodlines and species for generations. In this bronze, a baby is nursing from her pregnant mother, which is depicted with a baby in her womb."
